“My name is Minh Le, and I am one of the recipients of the 2019 SVMDPA Scholarship. I am currently a first year pharmacy student at UCSF. It is my honor to be selected for this scholarship.
The Vietnamese immigrants and the underserved population have always been dear and near to my heart because I grew up in an immigrant family myself. To be able to give back and address the healthcare needs of the Vietnamese community, I always strive to sharpen my skills and broaden my knowledge through my academic training and community services. I am very grateful for the support from your organization and excited for the opportunities it will bring me. Because of your generosity, a part of my financial burden is reduced, which means that I can spend more times on school work and volunteer activities.”
Le Lac will be a first year medical student this fall at Touro University. Le Lac’s excellence in academics along with his passion, dedication and time spent helping the underserved community almost ever weekend at a Bay Area free care clinic were some of the things SVMDPA could not ignore!
